Your Chance to Win Famous Family Nights

Today, I’m taking a short break from British writerly reminiscing, and joining other Cedar Fort authors in our “End of Summer Give-Away.”

If you’d like to win a copy of my new book, Famous Family Nights, then all you need do is read the review below, and add your comment in the box at the end. There will be a random generator explosion (or whatever they do with random generators) in two weeks. The happy winner’s name will flutter out, and I’ll announce it at the beginning of my next post on August 22nd.

Instead of a synopsis of the book, which you can read any time at www.annebradshaw.com, I’ve added below Famous Family Nights’ first review. It was written by Rozelle over at Rozelle's Reading Corner .

"Famous Family Nights by author Anne Bradshaw is the kind of book that you pick up, read a little, put it down, come back to it, read some more and put it down, until you find yourself wanting to pick it up again and read some more. I loved the fact that she interviewed people from around the world with various backgrounds and experience with FHE. I loved the frank and uplifting messages of the interviewees and I loved gleaning from the many ideas and experiences shared. There's a couple of ideas in there I want to implement into our own family home evenings! This is a fun and interesting read and a great resource of ideas - one that gave me hope and reaffirmed my testimony of the blessings of this inspired practice."
If you love the counsel to hold family home evening but struggle to make it work—or if you would like to read about famous families’ survival stories (often LOL funny), then be sure to enter this give-away today.

We struggle with family nights too. We have 2 little ones under 2 and find it hard to come up with ways to teach them when they are so young yet. We have fun with them!

We definitely struggle with FHE's here. We're new to the church of just over a year, and holding regular FHE's has been the biggest, and only, issue we struggle to keep up with.
This sounds like a great book!

I love the concept of family nights... and have tried in past with no continued success. I struggle with keeping my small family a unit. I look forward to trying the ideas here.

What is always a struggle and always laugh? FHE, of course. Little kids with wiggles and literal responses, mid-kids so eager, teenagers falling asleep, and dare we say dad's who authoritarian and judgmental sometimes? Love it.

The ages of our children are making family nights more tricky! Please count me in on this fabulous book giveaway drawing.

FHE is great for ALL families everywhere. New ideas and insights help us all improve these times together. We have reached a point in our family where the kids are totally supportive, but DAD drags his feet. What's up with that? KayLynne Baldwin

What a great idea! I am so excited to read this book! Our FHE's are getting pretty dull, and with 7 kids under the age of 10 that is NOT a good thing. We need something to keep them focused and entertained.

This book sounds wonderful! It should dispell the myths of the "perfect" family that has wonderful FHEs. Can't wait to get my hands on this book!

I would love to win this book
To help my home to be
A heaven here on earth
So, please won't you pick me.
Every day I try
To make my home a place
Where the spirit can be felt
As my family runs life's race.
I hope you pick my name
As the lucky one this time
So I can turn my home
From earthly to divine.
